CNS servers are
located inside the American Communications' state-of-the-art, carrier
neutral Internet Data Center. On the campus of the San Diego
Technology Center, the area is rich in fiber optic connectivity.
The facility is equipped with the latest technologies and stands alone
as San Diego's premier facility. Redundant hardware, network
infrastructure, 24 x 7 x 365 network monitoring and management,
technical support, power backup, and redundant air conditioning systems
help us bring you our high quality services.

Dual
Cisco 12000(GSR) Gigabit Service Routers backbone routers
provide multi-path connectivity to the backbone. Additional
Cisco 7500 series aggregation routers provide connectivity to
our T1, DS3, DSL and higher bandwidth clients. Cisco Catalyst
6500 enterprise switching/router hardware supports full
supervisor capabilities, QOS monitoring, and enhanced TOS
switching.
Redundant AC and DC power systems include triple redundant
500KVA Power Ware UPSs and 2 Megawatt Generator by
Caterpillar. |

The facility practices a comprehensive
security policy for your protection. Key elements of this policy
include; manned Data Center 24 x 7 x 365, digital security cameras with
motion detection, client defined access lists, biometric hand scanners,
access validation with identity and a triple interlock early warning
fire system with VESDA.

We utilize clustered
servers to host our online applications. A server cluster is two or more
servers working together to support client requests. When one server
fails, it simply goes off-line and the remaining servers in the cluster
support requests.
We also utilize clustering technology to provide updates to our platform
with minimal impact to customers. By taking a node (server) off-line and
updating it while the rest of the cluster nodes handles the normal load.
This process is rotated until the entire cluster is updated.
Millions of dollars have been invested in
backbone and routing equipment to design a network that out-performs
all others.
Most Internet Service Providers (ISPs) use Border Gateway Protocol (BGP)
technology to determine the best route for traffic over the Internet.
Our network goes beyond what BGP can do.
Our solution provides a self-healing IP network that solves congestion
and latency issues common to standard BGP routed backbones. We do this
with the latest routing technology and infrastructure designed to exceed
the built-in limitations of BGP. This new, but proven, technology
provides our network with direct, ultra-low latency access to each of
our 6 major Internet backbones.
Our six backbone connections virtually eliminate congestion and packet
loss of your data that is commonly experienced by other ISPs. Our
routing technology predetermines the fastest possible path between the
data sender and the receiver, and routes the data accordingly. Our
intelligent routing engine monitors the top 15,000 routes used by our
network each minute and automatically determines the best route for your
Internet traffic. These routes are updated 10,000 times per minute. And,
because of our built-in redundancy, self-healing capabilities, fault
tolerance of our network infrastructure, and automatic traffic routing
around congestion, we are largely unaffected by major Internet backbone
outages.
With direct connectivity
to the top 6 major Internet backbones, we already enjoy direct access to
96% of the Internet. This does not take into consideration the multiple
direct peers to other providers. Our backbone routers, in conjunction with our
performance based routing equipment, will route your traffic to the
fastest possible network path. Whether your traffic is headed for UUNet,
Qwest, Level 3, XO, Yipes/Wiltel or Verio, it will be routed directly to
that network or rerouted to a faster network by our performance routing
equipment
This makes our network a perfect match for demanding customers that
require the highest performance in their Internet connectivity. These
customer types include: voice over IP, gaming, database synchronization,
streaming media and anyone that needs high performance network
connectivity. Furthermore, this performance can be proven, please ask
your sales representative for additional information.
