CNS-UK1 servers are located inside the TelecityGroup London (Sovereign House) data center.  TelecityGroup data centres are built and operated to provide a resilent and always-available environment.

Sovereign House is connectivity rich, with direct access to a wide choice of network providers and the presence of the London Internet Exchange (LINX).  It is ideal for services that need to be at the heart of the digital economy. 

To ensure continuous operation, Sovereign House features redundant high-capacity power supplies, with Uninerruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems and standby back-up diesel generators capable of supporting  the site at N+1 redundancy in the event of a power grid failure.

Very Eary Smoke Detection Apparatus (VESDA) is installed at Sovereign House.  These highly sensitive two-stage smoke detectors are linked to the BMS and monitored continually from a network operations centre.  In the unlikely event of a fire, environmentally-friendly gas-based fire suppression systems are ready to react quickly.  Systems are designed to react quickly and minimize any disruption, while keeping them localized.

UK1 is scheduled to close August 2013.  All hosted services are being migrated to UK2 at Equinix.

Data Center security is a top priority. TelecityGroup has taken extreme care to install the utmost security so that our customers know that their data is safe. Our servers are located in heavily protected buildings with 24x7 security.

Access to Sovereign House building, data floors and individual areas is by multi-layered physical security including; a secure perimeter, biometrics, individually programmed access cards - using biometrics and visual identification - ensuring secure, single-person entry.

Other security features include controlled physical barriers, personalized proximity access card readers, strategically placed cameras and motion detection, and doors equipped with an alarm system.
