CNS OBM will also backup PST files, even when you are working on
them. An
optional MS Exchange 'brick by brick' backup is available to
backup individual mailboxes. CNS OBM leverages Microsoft's latest Volume Shadow Copy
Service (VSS) framework to consistently backup open files without
requiring additional applications or plug-ins.
Data is compressed and encrypted before it
leaves the computer being backed up. The encryption key is known
only to you. Nobody, not even CNS, can read the files. Decryption
is possible only with the password you set! We also employ a
second level of protection through 128-bit SSL - a secure IP socket
between your computer and our backup servers. This SSL channel
encrypts the data again while it transits the Internet. These
security solutions together produce an extremely high level of
protection for your important and confidential data. A third
security layer can be gained by adding optional CNS IPSEC services, securing all
data from your network to ours with extremely strong and constantly
changing encryption. Restoration can also be limited to designated
IP addresses.
In the event of a total failure, our
business backup plans include our Peace of Mind
Guarantee. In the event of a failure, CNS will immediately
provide you with hosted virtual private server space for ten days
without charge for each effected server and/or workstation.

You should have an established disaster recovery plan in place. We
are here to help you execute it. A test restore point is also
available, free of charge, once per year for each CNS OBM
subscription.
Establishing an
emergency restore point takes just minutes when restoring to a CNS
hosted VPS. Customers with CNS IPSEC subscriptions will have
in-house servers restored more transparently due to IP routing and
security concerns with running services over the Internet.
Customers with critical in-house servers are encouraged to also
subscribe to CNS IPSEC for data security.

CNS technical support is available 24/7/365 through our automated
support ticketing system. This is not a substitute for the
professional services you may need to rebuild your in-house

CNS also offers optional IPSEC
services, securing all ip communication between your offices
and our datacenters. This requires hardware at each location. When deployed at
multiple offices, traffic between offices is also encrypted as
it travels over the Internet. This is an added bonus.
The monthly minimum service fee for CNS IPSEC is $50/end-point. That is, if you have one main
location to protect then you have only one end-point. If
you have a main office and two branch offices, there are three
end-points total. An
added benefit to CNS IPSEC is that it secures ALL subscribed CNS services, so
intra-office email is instantly encrypted as it travels through
the Internet.
