| Q: How do I
automatically logon my Windows virtual server / vps after reboot and run my
programs? You should already have prepared the user name and password that will be automatically logged in. Please keep in mind there is a special procedure to logon to the running console session, as explained below. Double click on the script Setup_Auto_Logon, that you saved earlier. Enter the user name and password as prompted. To configure your programs to start automatically: Find the program icon to start automatically in the VE start menu (start->programs...) and right-click on it. Select 'copy' Open to explore your startup folder. Start->all programs->startup (right-click->explore) right-click in the startup box that just opened and select 'paste shortcut' Paste shortcuts to all the programs you want to startup automatically into the startup folder. Reboot the VE to test the installation. How logon to the running console session: From your computer, select start->run and enter: mstsc /console Proceed as normal by entering the IP address or host name of your VE. If mstsc /console returns an error then please be sure
you are running the latest Window Remote Desktop client. Special considerations: The only way to join the running session is through the console "mstsc /console". No mapped drives, sound or printing support is available in the console session. If you logon as normal then you will open a new session, and the same programs will run again - resulting in TWO running sessions. For this reason, it is advisable to create a new user in the VE that is designated for the auto-running programs.
Q: I need additional support. What should I do?
