Having problems viewing the media stream?

Are you having a problem viewing the media stream? We find the most common problem is due to the Windows Media Player not being installed properly. Don’t let the name fool you - just because it is called “Windows Media Player” does not mean you Mac or Unix people can’t tune in. We have a player for you too.

The second most common problem is from an outdated browser.

We recommend running the latest version of:

Internet Explorer (Microsoft Corp.)
Netscape Communicator
(Netscape Corp.)
AOL 5.0
(for AOL subscribers only)

Finally…bandwidth. Streaming media screams for broadband. This means quality cable or xDSL connections; just because you have a new cable or DSL connection does NOT necessarily mean you are getting all the bandwidth you think you're getting!  One cable company we know of only delivers an average of 200k of bandwidth! And they cut you off for "abuse" if you even use that!

We encode the stream for all visitors which results in varying levels of delivery quality.  Slower network connections may not experience a great frame rate or  may have to wait longer than normal before content delivery begins.

So, if you are experiencing problems, here is what we suggest you do:

(don't forget to bookmark us first!)

1) Upgrade your browser to the latest Explorer, Netscape, or AOL release.
2)
Still having problems? Install the latest Windows Media Player
3)  Windows users:  Visit the windows update service and install ALL critical updates - and the latest windows media player.
4) Still? If the picture and/or sound is jerky or non-existent then it's probably time to upgrade to a quality broadband provider
